Friday 5: Christopher Thames of Grand Coteau Bistro


Grand Coteau Bistro is the newest kid on the block in the restaurant formerly known as Catahoulas. The project headed by award winning Chef Christopher Thames, a Chopped champion among other things, is a welcomed addition to the Grand Coteau Historical District. Get to know where Chef Christopher dines when he isn't winning contests and filling bellies in Grand Coteau.


1. Special Occasions- Dark Roux. It has an intimate atmosphere, imaginative food and excellent service. Not to mention a great bar selection.

2. Best Boudin- Billy's Boudin and Cracklin. Great staff and boudin balls.

3. Guilty Pleasure- Pop's Poboys. Check out their great daily specials!

4. Neighborhood hang out- Carpe Diem! Gelato and Espresso Bar. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and very good gelato!

5. Date Night- (Besides Grand Coteau Bistro Inc) Tsunami Sushi Lafayette. They have a great plating presentation, professional staff all around and fresh fish choices.
