With the #EatLafayette kickoff party only a day away, the crew at Eat This could hardly wait to join other food enthusiasts from Acadiana. So we traveled down 90 to one of our favorite spots, Hook & Boil.
And with a website named EatCrawfish.com, it is no surprise that Hook & Boil is one of the best restaurants in Acadiana for seafood and Cajun dishes. Take the short drive to Broussard and see for yourself what the fuss is all about.
The boudin at Hook & Boil is made in house and is featured in multiple dishes including the Boudin Stuffed Chicken and the Boudin Eggroll appetizer.
The Shrimp and Grits at Hook & Boil feature peel and eat shrimp. The hands on style reflects the content of the dish. This is no fussy shrimp and grits. What you see is what you get. Well-seasoned boiled shrimp and buttery grits.
The menu even has lighter seafood options including Grilled Shrimp Tacos with a choice of two sides. Daily lunch specials and multiple beers on tap make this an #EatLafayette and Eat This must!
Good idea for a food festival for all the food lovers out here. It would have been more successful if this event was marketed extensively since I did not find out about it until now, and it is too late.
